Day 1 / Basel

Arrival Basel airport and transfer to Basel city center.

Guided visit of Basel city center (1:30 hours).

Basel is a beatiful city in Switzerland at the border of France and Germany. The city has a charming Old Town, modern architecture, and the Rhine river which ondulates through the city. Basel is the oldest unersity city in Switzerland and is home to 40 museums ! It is a dynamic and very interesting destination to visit.

Transfer to your 3* hotel, dinner and night in Colmar Region.

This 3-star hotel is ideally located in the heart of Colmar, just a 10-minute walk from the historic city center. It offers 42 air-conditioned, non-smoking rooms, all comfortable and well-equipped. Walking through the gates of Haut-Koenigsbourg Castle is like plunging into the world of the Middle Ages. From the lower courtyard with its inn, forge and mill, to the spiral staircases leading to the furnished flats of the lord… Discover the architecture, the collections and the atmosphere, all steeped in 900 years of history.

Free time in Ribeauvillé, the medieval city.

Located between vineyards and mountains, Ribeauvillé is a charming city that has developed its heritage. In the Middle Ages, the city was the seat of the Seigneury of the Ribeaupierre family (hence the name of the town of Ribeauvillé). The city is dominated by the ruins of ancient castles, giving it a special character. You can admire its medieval fortifications, its picturesque streets, its squares decorated with Renaissance-style fountains.

Day 3 / Wine Route

Breakfast at the hotel.

Full day in the most beautiful villages on the wine Route.

Stop in Riquewihr, the cradle of the famous “Crémant”.

Riquewihr, an unmissable medieval town in the heart of the Alsatian vineyards, is surrounded by vineyards classified as “grand cru“: Schoenenbourg and Sporen. By the harmony of the winemakers’ houses and the mansions, its belfry and the walls of medieval walls perfectly preserved. Riquewihr is considered the Pearl of the Alsatian Vineyard. This «Most beautiful village in France» is also the cradle of the famous “Crémant” of Alsace!

Kaysersberg, between vineyards and mountains.

Kaysersberg, between vineyards and mountains, surprises by the charm of its medieval sites grouped around its church. It is one of the most charming cities of Alsace with its cobbled streets and richly decorated half-timbered houses. Kaysersberg was also elected the Favorite Village of the French 2017 !

Eguisheim, one of the “French’s Favorite Village”.

Eguisheim has been ranked among «One of the Most Beautiful Villages in France» since 2003 and «French’s Favorite Village » in 2013. You will fall under the charm of its picturesque streets, the authentic atmosphere of its historic center and its half-timbered houses built around its castle! Eguisheim is a true source of tranquility in the middle of the Alsatian vineyards…

Visit of a winery and wine tasting.

Road back to Colmar after the wine tasting.

Back to your hotel and dinner at the hotel or in the city center.

Day 4 / Strasbourg

Breakfast at the hotel.

Departure for Strasbourg.

Guided tour of Strasbourg city center 1:30h.

European capital and capital of Alsace, Strasbourg has a world-renowned historical heritage : the Great Island is classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Encircled by the arms of the Ill, the city centre includes the main places and monuments that make Strasbourg famous, such as the Notre Dame Cathedral… Impossible not to succumb to its charm !

Boat trip in Strasbourg.

Boat trip to discover Strasbourg from a different perspective. You will sail past the European Parliament to the Cathedral. Then stroll through the narrow streets of Petite France and its tanners’ quarter, admire the half-timbered houses reflected in the Ill and let yourself be carried away by this enchanting setting.

Road back to Colmar.

Day 5 / Colmar

Breakfast at the hotel.

Guided tour of Colmar with a local guide (1:30h).

Capital of the Alsace Wine Route, the pretty city of Colmar will seduce you with its typical Alsatian charm ! Stroll through the cobbled streets, marvel at the half-timbered houses with flowered windows, let yourself be carried in the district of Little Venice.
